Introduction to Writing 101 to ∞

Alrighty then… So I think I may just write about writing what I hope to be my first published work… and I’ll take you along with me on this journey….

I do have some writing talent. But there are a lot of people who have a writing talent, some don’t even know that they have this talent.

Then there are those who for the life of them can’t write… I know I’ve read some of their stuff… OMG… spare me from that… must be what literary agents say every week after reading writer-wannabees… sugary sweet… or angry rants… or just plain boring, boring, boring!!!

I’m also a bibliophile… which causes my spouse considerable annoyance I’m sure. Books everywhere. Books in the toilet. Books in the bathroom. Books absolutely everywhere. I’ve even read most of them!

Some bought because the title lied and I didn’t bother to check the table of contents… Some I should have checked for the references. others have references but no credentials… yes I have many books… 95% of which are non-fiction… or claim to be non-fiction.

There are several things that I have a passion for… politics, constitutional law, Christian theology, theoretical physics, and engineering.

I have no pretenses towards thinking that what I scribble will have wide appeal. Some will disagree with what I write, they’ll probably view my perspectives with disdain. Nothing new there. I’ve always been caught in the middle in several areas of my life.

So, in no particular order, I am a former evangelical Christian in deconstruction… a new student of constitutional law in construction…and a former Conservative Republican, until Trump drove me from the tribe. I’m a fan of Einstein, Alcubbiere, Feynman, Bohr, Weinberg, Penrose, Polkinghorne, Thorne, Hawkins, and others who delve into the structure of our universe.

  • Too secular for my theist friends, not Christian enough for my “Christian brothers and sisters”.
  • Too Conservative to be a Liberal… too Liberal to be Conservative…
  • Too concerned with safety and testing and not money-minded enough to be an outstanding engineer…
  • We’ll have to wait and see whether how accurate a view of constitutional law I’ll get over the next few years.
  • We’ll have to wait and see what new theories and ideas come out of science

― I am also a sci-fi (shlock or not) fan, and a “B” movie fan.

So here’s hoping there are enough people who can stand my writing in all of its quirky, inconsistent, periodic.

A great big thank you to those of you who chose to follow my addled ramblings…
